Benefits of EPDM
EPDM rubber waterproofing systems allow the substrate underneath it to breath. These products are vapour permeable, meaning any existing moisture or dampness can escape, while the membrane retains its ability to remain fully waterproof against the elements.
A one piece roof system comes prefabricated from the factory, reducing the time and costs related to man hours during the installation process. This allows EPDM systems to be measured, fabricated and installed quicker than most other roofing products. EPDM breather membranes can also be used as an EPDM overlay, saving even more time and money on flat roof replacement projects.
EPDM rubber membrane is highly elastic and will accommodate excessive stretching and building movements without a problem!
EPDM roofing systems will not tear, crack or split! They can, in fact, stretch to > 400% without damage.
EPDM provides peace of mind in that it is made to measure in the workshop under ideal working conditions, with consistent quality control. This also makes EPDM ideal for lining lakes, reservoirs and ponds, requiring minimal seams in application

With no flame torches or hot boilers being required to install EPDM rubber membrane, it is applied cold, therefore obviates the risk of fire, noxious gases to workers, premises and surrounds.

EPDM remains unaffected by extreme temperature variations having been exhaustively tested to withstand temperatures varying from -40 to 110 degrees Celsius.
The membrane is resistant to root penetration and is therefore ideal for roof gardens in addition to flat roof waterproofing. Some even exceed the German FLL tests for root penetration.
EPDM is the most environmentally friendly waterproofing product on the market, as it is recyclable, using less volatiles in its manufacture than most other products, coupled with its very low usage of global resources
EPDM membranes are resistant to atmospheric pollutants such as acid rain and ultraviolet light.
